Great British Beef Week
Join us this Great British Beef Week, Sunday 23rd April – Monday 1st May, as we celebrate the brilliant retired dairy cattle initiative of Lake District Farmers. Sample its incredible flavour at our London restaurants and pubs throughout the week, with each venue showcasing a different cut of beef on their specials board.
Join us at The Hat and Tun for our tongue and cheek pie, mashed potatoes, gravy.
Our supplier, Lake District Farmers have dedicated the last seven years to making dairy cattle farming sustainable once again. They now work with five dairy farms in Penrith, Cumbria, including Farmer Barraclough who will be hosting an inaugural food and wine paired dinner at The Jugged Hare on Wednesday 3rd May. Through Lake District Farmers commitment to farm, animal and consumer and uncompromising belief in the quality of the meat, they have built up a rearing programme and carved a market for it in the industry. Retired dairy cattle really is the sustainability dream.
